How do i do the sitemap for the vb 4.0?

You must use vBSEO Sitemap Generator 2.6 beta 2 available in downloads area. vBulletin 4 default sitemap doesn't work with vBSEO'ed URLs.

What is the point of using it when it is in the beta?

Though it is currently marked as beta it is very stable and the gold version will be 99% the same code just with a few of the ping services removed etc.

And you can also use the same version for vb3.x since sitemap generator 2.6 beta 2 works for both vb3 and vb4.
