site:www.mysite.com lists blogs and member profiles first

Hi,

So I thought I'd run the site:OzMPSclub.com command on Google to see what comes up.

The first two entries are ok, the site root and the forum root. But for the next 3 pages it lists member profiles and blog comments etc before getting to actual threads.

How can I stop google listing member profiles and showing threads better?

I only have showthread, forumdisplay, and blog pages contributing to my sitemap (See attached for settings).

I have VBSEO installed.

Is there anything I can do? Or am I overreacting?

I think you're over-reacting a little bit

No one is going to search for you via the site: command. Further, there isn't necessarily any order/weight in the results of site: search without a string to search on attached to it.

I ran a couple searches for some mps strings and they all came back with either the homepage or a thread. I would say you are just fine as you are.

Thanks Brian. I wasn't sure about the order/weight of the results...and that's what was worrying me.

I do realise no one would use that search string, but thought that those results were in order of rank or something...

site:domain . com is only to see your pages indexed growth and that's only help the site webmaster not the normal user
the results of site:domain . com that's who can be in the Google search results
