Site map doenst work at all...

    Hi guys,

I have recently switched my site installation from WP to WPMU and after the switch my site map stopped working.

    If you go here: http://www.macciti.com/forum/sitemap_index.xml.gz

You will be able to see the error for yourself. When i manually generate the site map, i get a report saying that all search engines were pinged successfully. However when i check my Google Tools, it shows that my sitemap is not working.

    Any help would be appreciative.

    Hello,

    What is the Google error?

Also, the picture when you go to the sitemap in chrome is correct. Chrome cannot yet view the contents like Firefox and IE.

As you see on the picture, according to webmasters tools, my sitemap is not working properly or something. I used to have green check mark where now i see is a red "x"... see attachemnt 2.

Also, i have used the same path in Firefox and it looked like this:

    Is it ok?

On your Google, where you see that red X, hit the sitemap name, and it should list the errors on the next page.

That is because you have your archive enabled. We recommend disabling it.

The second link I gave you should show you how to disable it, and remove it from the sitemap

It should be. Follow the steps, adjust the settings, remove the sitemap from Google, re-submit it, and you should be good to go!
