Showpost pages: what are they?

What are showpost pages? Why are they bad for my forum and why I should remove them?

If they are bad, why is Vbulletin still using them?

Within vBulletin showpost pages shows each single post on a seperate page. Showpost pages create duplicate content for your threads. Thats why it is not advised to add showpost pages to your sitemap files.
