If anyone is running the vBSEO sitemap hack they know if they want to add non-forum root URLS they must do a little work. I'm trying to SEO my non-forum pages before I include them into the sitemap.
My website has a large navigation bar on each page, consisting of about 20-30 links which links all the sites pages together. Each link describes what the visitor will be viewing when clicked. For example, imagine each line was a link:
---Round Objects---
Red Ball View Here
Blue Ball View Here
Green Ball View Here
Yellow Ball View Here
--Square Objects---
Red Box View Here
Blue Box View Here
Green Box View Here
Yellow Box View Here
My current html organization has each page named simply the type of object, followed by a non-descriptive anchor. Due to the quantity of pages, I have several named the same, but with a number added to the end. For example, I have roundobjects1, roundobjects2, roundobjects3, etc.
So, if a visitor wanted to click on "Green Ball", the page they would be taken to is named http://www.mysite.com/roundobjects3.htm#ba3 that doesn't sound very search engine friendly does it? Can anyone recommend a better naming convention that might give me a little boost in the search engines? Any help would be appreciated.
