    Replacing existing sitemap!

    Hi,

I just changed my settings to get rid of showposts in my sitemap index.

But my sitemap still remembers all the old 15,000 urls that had been sitemapped before. Now, i only need about 2,000 urls indexed.

How to change the sitemap file to get rid of the 15,000 urls. Tried deleteing sitemap_index.xml.gz and sitemap_1.xm.gz...but still no luck, webmaster tools still shows 15,000 urls to be indexed.

    Please help.

Hello Reza, please remove all of the files ending in the .gz in your vbseo_sitemap/data folder, and regenerate.
