Ping to Bing disabled and yahoo fails?

My reports state:
Google Successful
Bing Disabled
Yahoo FAILED
Ask Successful

How do I fix this?

If you run it again manually, do you see the same results?

Usually these errors are one-time issues. I am not seeing any ping service issues currently.

When running it manually bing fails and the rest is successful.

it's possible that your host has disabled the ips to get to bing, or bing is blocking your server location

Im on a dedicated box. No bing IPs have been blocked. I doubt that bing would block my servers IP. Bing does spider my site all the time and does download my sitemaps occasionally. Is there any way to check?

# alfa1 you mean that is a vbseo issue related? I have a similar problem with bing too.... i'm on a litespeed webserver..... but i don't think that's it the problem.

i notice the same problem with bing, its probaly vbseo related.

Bing has been pinging fine for me all week.

I notice that everyone complaining about the issue is NOT from the US. It's possible that bing has blocked international traffic.

Yes is not vbseo related.... i have triyed to ping bing with my server ip, and the ping fails ever.....

My server is in the Netherlands.

Yhea i know, it was "banned" like mine.

We have the same server but different IP..... but i have the problem only with Bing. With google, yhaoo and ask are working without problems for me, for this 3 the reports are "Succesfully".

I still have the same issue. But now with both Bing and Yahoo.

Yup, this seems to be global now. It's internal at yahoo and is simply out of our control.
