Please make sure your downloads.dat file is writable (666) as well as the hits/ folder (777) and that the setting to log bot traffic is enabled in the sitemap and the regular vbseo cp options.

I have changed downloads.dat to 666 (it was 644) but can't find a /hits folder or do you mean /data?
