Moved Forum Location: What is the URL for sitemap?

OK. I am trying to figure out what happened but I killed three active sites.

The main forums were in the root and the site was getting 500+ in traffic. The forums were moved to /technology and I combined three sites into one. The site now is lucky to get 200+. The graphs show a steady decline.

I reinstalled vbseo sitemap but the reporting in Google Webmaster Tools must be wrong and I am not sure what address to tell the tools site where the map is located.

This is the form to fill out but how in the world do I get the sitemap into the highest level?

    1. I've created a Sitemap in a supported format. [?]
    2. I've uploaded my Sitemap to the highest-level directory to which I have access.
    3. My Sitemap URL is: Technology Questions
Example: http://www.technologyquestions.com/sitemap.xml The Sitemap must be located at Technology Questions. To add a Sitemap at vBSEO Google / Yahoo Sitemap for vBulletin, first add that site to your account and then click the Add a Sitemap link beside it.

Update: Forgot to include that the report of logs in the vbseo admin panel is empty.

    normal location:
    domain.com/forums_root/sitemap_index.xml.gz

note, forums_root/ may not be needed if you are in root

Thank you. I think my explanation was not good.

In working longer with Google Webmaster Tools - the sitemaps are not being seen properly. The error is that no URLs are being submitted.

I tried to set the sitemap to the root and also to the domain.com/technology/sitemap_index.xml.gz and get the same error.

Is there something wrong with the .htaccess because when I follow the link in the reports of the admin then I get a url not found?

Update: OK. Please move this thread to the proper forum. Also, the trick was the permissions in the data file. All is well now.
