Hello -
Six months ago I switched my board from an SMF board to a vB board and purchased vbSEO.
After doing some research on SEO and looking at my SE referrals, I know I can do better. The topic of my forum is very broad but my forums topics are pretty specific and include geolocation and specific topics. (IE..arizona poilitcs, scottsdale restaurants, etc...)
After some thought I want to create keyword targeted landing pages for specific topics and areas of interest. My question is...do I create a straight HTML page for these landing pages, create new tamplates for each page...or use an add-on like vbArticles over at madebymary.com (which I already have).
I like the straight HTML (actually would be php to pull most recent posts for that topic and put them on the landing page) because it's easy to manipulate and have more flexibility, but would be 'controlled' by the templates and changes to a template would have to be per-page.
Templates would be good because I could just make a php file, include it in the template and have vbseo rewrite the url (keyword-keyword.html). I am afraid all the vb added code would interfere with the code-to-content ratio though...
Vbarticles (or similar) would be the fastest, less control, but would still be under control of vbSeo. Also wouldn't be able to pull newest posts in the associated topic.
So what would be the *best way (recommended way) to do this?
Thanks
