    The problem you are display shows an old .php file. As long as you removed those from the sitemap, then that warning should disappear because they are not there in the first place to cause an issue.

    Once you submit your ticket, the system checks for matches in the knowledge base that can help you. At that stage you have to scroll down to complete the submission.

    You should delete all your existing sitemap files and regenerate sitemap files.

    Ok, deleted the old sitemap files, and re-uploaded, and installed it.

    Question: Do I leave the "data" folder writable?

    Soo....lo, and behold, I go to my webmaster tools page, only after I re-installed my Sitemap, it says "Ok" in my status, and it clearly shows "no warnings." Then I check my "what's going on" google is still in there.

    I'm much happier since the fix, and google is crawling more. Now all I need to do is figure out where to submit the yahoo sitemaps.
