    Install Instructions...

    I got few question:

Your instructions state that the following:
    A. Upload the 'vbseo_sitemap' folder along with the files in it to your forum root.
    1. CHMOD 777 the 'vBulletin-root/vbseo_sitemap/data/' folder
    B. Open your 'vbroot/.htaccess' file and enter the following code:
    RewriteEngine On
    RewriteRule ^((urllist|sitemap).*.(xml.gz|txt))$ vbseo_sitemap/vbseo_getsitemap.php?sitemap=$1 [L]
    C. To Configure:
    1. Open the vbseo_sitemap/vbseo_sm_config30x.php file using a text editor
    2. Change your settings as desired
    3. Important: Enter your Direct Script Run Code (this is also your password for your automated reports)
    4. Go to your ADMIN CP > Scheduled Tasks > Add New Scheduled Task
    5. Edit new task options:
    • Title: vBSEO - Create Google/Yahoo Sitemap
    • Filename: ./vbseo_sitemap/vbseo_sitemap.php
    • Set task schedule according to your forums activity. For instance, to generate a daily sitemap at 2AM set:
      • Day of the Week: *
      • Day of the Month: *
      • Hour: 2 (or any other)
      • Minute: 0 - - -
It does not say that I have to upload the XML file via product manager. Are you sure that I don't need to do this?

How do I manage sitemap from here?

Important: Enter your Direct Script Run Code (this is also your password for your automated reports)
Where do I enter Direct Script Run Code? i am confused here. What is this?

There are few other options available in the task window:
    • Varname - What do I enter here? Leave blank?
    • Product - I have 2options there: vBulletin and VBSEO - which one do I need to choose? Or should there be VBSEO Google Sitemap?
    Thanks for your hard work!

    Regards,

    Cageybee

Yes, you need to upload the product. And if you're on vBulletin 3.6.x the Scheduled Task will be created for you. No need to do that step.

The "Direct Run Code" was changed to "Password" in Sitemap 1.7 to make it more clear. You set that in your AdminCP->vBulletin Options->vBSEO Sitemap Options
