I know what happened, you should update the version you have @ vb.org

but as has been said, its a pre-release version, only for vb seo customers.

But I will ask, I now have an application ID, added it in to admincp, But is that all I have to do?

You should also enable "Auto-Notify Yahoo" option.

My Yahoo ping fails but when I manually submit it it works fine.

From the above posts it seems there was some sort of problem with a previous release that caused the pings to fail. Can you tell me how I verify what version of the sitemap hack I have? The title in the php files doesn't indicate what version it is.

Trana, I suggest you just download and reinstall the latest sitemap version. Unfortunately, the file version doesn't indicate he build number. It's a fairly simple process and only takes a few minutes. Maybe they should have numbered it 1.8 or 1.7a or something. Maybe next time.

Well, despite the fact that I was sure I was running 1.7 I went and "upgraded" to the 1.7 release on this site and I am still seeing Yahoo ping failures. Can anyone provide any other troubleshooting help aside from "install the latest version"?
