How many URLs/sitemap files do you have?
Just curious.

We seem to be generating 44 sitemap files (max 50,000 URLs) for a total of 2,158,514 URLs.

Summary:

I cut mine down to 15,000 per file just to see if there would be a difference in indexing.

3 files, approx. 39,000 urls.
