I noticed a huge improvement in generation time of my sitemaps after moving to new, more powerful, servers.

Old servers...
Run Time: 368.16 s
Total URLs: 382,637

New servers...
Run Time: 107.54 s
Total URLs: 382,956

(I don't include showpost URLs)
