Any reason for that? The .htaccess works just fine.

I recall getting an error in sitemaps once for a URL outside of the forums folder that was in the extra URLs file.

Right, which is why you need a .htaccess with the one Sitemap rewrite rule in the root of your site, and enter your site root URL into the (optional) field in the vBSEO Google/Yahoo Sitemap options in AdminCP. (It defaults to blank, which uses your Forums URL.)

Well fine, now I get it.

Oh well, no harm done on my end. I'd have read the code anyway.

I asked the same question here and am working on it right now. I will let you know if I can get a single map from vBSEO to do it. Otherwise, gsitecrawler works will for your html site.
