Hello i need to protect my admincp but...

i have my fourm in vb folder which mean its on public_html/vb
i want to protect my admincp folder but i cant , if i want to do that i need to protect the whole folder of vb! im thinking to move the files insde vb folder to public_html
but there file allready there called .htaccess
when i move the files its will be write on the .htaccess file!
what i do?

but the next step sounds hard to me.

sorry i mean if give it the folders Protect Password from my cpanel instant of .htaccess and passwd protaction.

when i try to log to my admincp
