therew as an older xml product installed in vB admincp. I've installed the latest one from v2.5 and it works now.

I have tried the IF function change fix and have resubmitted my sitemap to google. If this down not work open up a support ticket?

Did you regenerate sitemap manually before resubmitting it?

Did you delete your existing sitemap files before regerating sitemaps.

I only deleted sitemap_1.xml.gz ...

I am getting this error allof a sudden as well. I have been on gold a while and have the lates Sitemap generator

I have deleted all and regenerated

still an issue after reinstalling Generator and deleted all maps

What is your setting for "Tags pages priority"?
