    Hi,

That is correct you shouldn't have the second sitemap there and should delete it, the first one is working fine and as this is the only one you should have there is nothing to worry about.

thanks for the quick reply Ceri OK i've just deleted the second (/data) sitemap file ... anyway, just a question, the sitemap files are located into that folder, so why i have this into my tools? i think that the second was the good (and it should be running) ...

Actually sitemap created and located in vbseo/data folder but it's redirect 301 via htaccess to your forums URL/sitemap_index.xml.gz so you will need only the first URL since the second one will not work.

OK, Marco i've 2 questions about the sitemaps:

    1) in the google tools i put 2 sitemaps, the first is my entire website (fniv.it) and the second is my forum (fniv.it/board) can i hold all the sites or it's better if i delete the first (fniv.it)?
    2) i saw that i've too many errors (404 not found) cause some days ago i've changed the url of my members (also i got many errors with my calendar), so the question is what i should do? i need to redo the sitemap thru the SEOCP?

    1) as long as both paths are verified, you can have both sitemaps.

    2) If the urls SHOULD 404, it is ok to show 404's in the webmaster tools area. They will eventually drop out of the index.
