    Google - Sitemap have the same priority

    Anyone else just started getting Warnings in your Google Webmaster Tools?
    All the URLs in your Sitemap have the same priority.
    All the URLs in your Sitemap are set to the same priority (not the default priority). Priority indicates the importance of a particular URL relative to other URLs on your site, and doesn't impact your site's performance in search results. If all URLs have the same priority, Google can't tell which are more important.
    Do you reckon this could be a problem?

    Did you change any of the priority settings in our sitemap options?

    I did almost 6 months ago, but never had google say anything about it.

    Set threads and blog entries at 1.0, forumdisplay 0.7 and showpost + profiles to 0.1

    but have only see that message in the last 24 hours.

    I have the same warnings. I think Google's just added that warning. Nothing serious but i wish there was an ignore button for it.

    Ok i just noticed another warning message with another forum:

    Some URLs in the Sitemap have a high response time.
    Some URLs listed in this Sitemap have a high response time. This may indicate a problem with your server or with the content of the page. URL:

    What does this warning mean?

    Looks like those sitemap files contain URLs of the same type (for instance, all URLs in the file are member profile), as a result every record *in that file* has the same priority, hence the waring. However, the priority differs from URLs in other sitemap files (other types like showthread/forumdisplay).

    Google may end up updating this themselves. We'll also look at a method of doing more dynamic priority assignments. For now, this should not be a major cause of concern.

    Please try to modify vbseo_sitemap_functions.php file:
    FIND:
    PHP Code:
    $lastmod gmdate('Y-m-d\TH:i:s+00:00'$lastmod);
    ADD BELOW:
    PHP Code:
            if($vbseo_stat['urls_no'] == 0)

    $priority min($priority+0.00011.0);
