    Question Google shows first post and not last post

    When I see one of my longest threads in the google index then it says something about the last message on this thread. But this information is wrong because it is about the date of the last message of page 1 of the thread ... and not the last page.
    Why?
    How to change?

    Thanks a lot!

    Marcel

    Keep in mind, that page 2 is a different URL. The last post of that page is correct for that url.

    Page 2 is a separate url and will rank differently.

    Yes, but when you don't know it it looks like that there is no answer from that time. Where Google take this info?

    Google reads the date from the postbit area to get the dates of the posts on vbulletin forums, and a few other popular software packages

    So we can fool Google by changing date on each page?
    HTML Code:
    <span class="postdate old">
        <span class="date">NEW DATE?</span>
    </span>
    And how Google counting posts on one page?

    So there's nothing I could do because every page is a single URL and I haven't got any influence on showing the real last date of last page? Really?

    It can't be fixed because it is not broken. The last post on that url is the last post on that page.

    You probably could do this, but it would also ruin your site for users. and, if google catches on to it, it may be very blackhat.
