Google Indexing Slow?

Hi Guys,

As anyone been having issues with Google as of late? It dumped about 75% of my indexed links according to the webmaster tools and now it is just floating back and forth 2k - 3k each week.

It was indexing like a mad man as of about a month ago and now it seems like I am back to square one.

I have also noticed, I have not scene google around my site as of late.

Have you changed anything? had down time? is your webmaster area reporting any errors on your sitemaps?

I did make a few changes about 2 months, added H1 tags, permalink enable, removed power by VB in the title and a couple of tweaks that everyone suggested hehe.

A few days after that everything started cranking right along, like google was in hyper-gear and everything was great. As of about 3 weeks ago, everything slowed back down and the indexed links went from 75k ish down to 14k.

No changes were made, so I am at a loss as to what happened.

The sitemap is all green, I check it daily just in case.

i'm showing: Results 1 - 10 of about 478,000 from ....

You only <5k threads... so that number seems REALLY inflated. 14k actually sounds about right for what you should have indexed.

I see that you are running a translation mod. That is likely where the bloat is coming from. We suggest not running these, but won't tell you to uninstall it either.

Thanks, the majority of our items are also our download section, of which most all are archived.

As for the translation module, we picked up allot of additional traffic and tons of new readers and posts (valid ones, hehe). So far it has been a positive experience there.
