My assumption says this is because our forum posts are indexed by google blogs.

In SERP's I am observing that I am getting this incorrectly -
1> The number of posts on a thread and authors
2> We use dd-mm-yyyy format to display date on our forums. The Google Search engine is picking this up in mm-dd-yyyy format, so if a post has been made on 2nd of June 2009, in search results, the date of last post is shown as 6th February.
e.g. Please see the attachment. The thread in the first result was started on 6th of September and it has more than 1100+ posts, whereas it shows that the last post was made on 6th June 2008 and it has 10 posts by 6 authors!
Any clues on this?
Regards.
Interesting bug. They'll figure this out soon. they have trouble calculating when the date is a month from Jan. to Sep. (less than 10 numerically), and the day is also less than 10.
However, they should be able to flag the "date format" for the site. The first time they encounter a date with the day 10+, or the month 10+, they should expect the format used there to carry through for the rest of the threads.
We might be able to look into date meta tags.
