Google Analytics code in the wrong position for external URLs

I was looking at the google analytics help and came across this little thing here:
Google Analytics Help Center - How do I track clicks on outbound links?

    Now it states this:
Important: if your pages include a call to urchinTracker(), utmLinker(), utmSetTrans(), or utmLinkPost(), your Analytics tracking code must be placed in your HTML code above any of these calls. In these cases the tracking code can be placed anywhere between the opening <body> tag and the JavaScript call.
vBSEO places the code at the bottom, before the body tag, so wouldn't that mean that the tracking of external links does not work at all?

    Hello,

the urchinTracker call is performed only when the link is clicked, which happens after the page is loaded (including loading of Google Analytics js script), so that is not a problem.
