General consensus on including showpost links

Hi All, I'm somewhat of a newbie to the technical part of how vBSEO operates, so if something isn't really obvious I tend to get a little nervous. I was looking inside my sitemap.gz files last nite, just to see what the search engine ronots were picking up. I saw about 65% of the most recent posts were in this format: Website Hosting - Mysite.com rather than this: Website Hosting - Mysite.com I contacted tech support and they said I could turn off showpost links. I then asked if doing so would affect my search engine results eaither positively or negatively. They replied "everyone has their own opinion" and added that he doesn't include these links. My forum is small-mid sized, about 6500 threads, 65K posts. So, any opinions? Do you guys include showpost links or no? Thanks

I've tried searching for showpost.php on this forum to see if there is any advantage to doing this and the only thing I could find is that there is a benefit for the time it takes for the crawler to look through your site. Is that essentially it? By not including showpost.php in your sitemap (I'm guessing you also have member.php, archive/index.php and poll.php disabled too?) will this have any bearing on my search engine placement?

I want people to go to my ads I'll be honest so, I would assume that showpost.php is off and blocked via robots correct?

I just want to make sure I push the right button in my admincp..
