    error with webmaster tools?

    Hello,

I upgraded to the latest sitemap and now I am getting an error at webmaster tools. I am using /forum/sitemap_1.xml.gz but in my vbseo sitemap folder I have sitemap_forum_1.xml.gz. To fix this should I add sitemap_forum_1.xml.gz to webmaster tools and delete the other one?

    Hello Julio,

The kind of sitemaps '/forum/sitemap_#.xml.gz' are from the old version. Please try to delete all of your sitemaps and regenerate them again.

After that, just submit your sitemap_index URL to Google Webmaster Tools:

    Code:
    http://www.yoursite.com/forum/sitemap_index.xml.gz

    Thanks Andres,

There's another problem when I added "/forum/sitemap_index.xml.gz" and I click it it shows "/sitemap_forum_1.xml.gz" and "/sitemap_tags_1.xml.gz" and not as "/forum/sitemap_forum_1.xml.gz" and "/forum/sitemap_tags_1.xml.gz"

What's the error message you see when clicking on any of that X?.

The error is something about HTML

    Sitemap is HTML
Your Sitemap appears to be an HTML page. Please use a supported sitemap format instead.

I'm wondering why it does not show the /FORUM/ in front of /sitemap_forum_1.xml.gz

    Hello,

make sure that "Sitemap Files URL" setting is empty (looks like it points to domain root in your case).

    It worked.

    Thank YOU! Both.

Is weird because before the upgrade I had the url in "Sitemap Files URL" ever since I installed vbseo with sitemap. I was thinking about the url but I wasn't sure if it was going to fix it or not.

This setting should be left blank in most cases. It is used only IF you have to move files to a non-standard location.
