Google Webmaster Tools gives me an error on this sitemap.

Hmm... if the error has gone, then I'd just leave it as it is - but pay close attention to any further errors you may receive.

Have you noticed any traffic drop? If so, then it may well be a configuration error. Go to: Diagnostics / Web crawl in your Google Webmasters Account. Do you see any errors there?

There are no errors there. It's a new site.

Ok, assuming the errors have gone and there are no more errors, I would just leave everything as it is and continue to monitor traffic ect.

You can also fill in a support ticket for one of the vBSEO support team to check your configuration and make sure everything is set-up correctly.

Odds are it was a netwroking hiccup. google probably tried to load it when your site was down fore a few seconds or sometrhing.
