    config.xml is writable

    Why i receive the message "Your config.xml is writable. Don't forget to update permissions after you finish updating the configuration for security purposes." in vBSEO admin CP, if config.xml permissions are set to 644?

    Try 444. Some cgi systems need this instead

    If neither 644 nor 444 make the file non-writable, you should contact your host and ask them what the proper setting is, as they are using a non-standard permission system.

    I had the same problem, i put 444 and no more config.xml is writable but a new one "config_vbseo.php is not writable" !! what can i do ! :(

    Nothing to do

    Now it's not writable, so the goal is reached

    It's not an alert, but only an information message that reminds you that you can't modify the vBSEO configuration
