Auto-Notify Google - how often

Hello,

how often is the latest Sitemap downloaded by Google?

"Auto-Notify Google" - does this mean Google is notified every 2 hours via vB Scheduled Tasks and that Google then comes to fetch the latest sitemap files?

I create sitemaps one a day and i disabled auto notify google option because google is downloading the sitemaps everyday since i have them in my google webmaster sitemaps account.

Ok, so you mean that the fetching process can be configured within Google, too?

No, Google will come get it when it wants to come get it. vBSEO Sitemap just notifies them them that there is an updated sitemap when you generate your sitemap once a day.

I adivise you to do so but if your site gets like 200-300 post each day then you may choose to run every hour but even then i donot recommend that because creating sitemaps is a server intensive job. Try to run the schedule your slowest time of your board.
