About LinkBacksI'm not sure how the whole AOL spider thing works. I thought they got their search results from google or yahoo, but I am getting these listed as "guests" when I click "who's Online"

Those are AOL users most likely.

I have thought so too, but there are nearly 20 on at one time, where normaly there are maybe 1 or 2.

AOL uses proxies, so a single AOL user can actually show up many, many times.
