All systems go...

I installed vBSEO + Google/Yahoo Sitemap on my site this weekend. I just moved my 4 year old forums from an old domain, so the new domain has no PR yet, and is not indexed (that is changing as I type..Yahoo has hit my site almost immediately, and Google is just starting up).

Setup of both vBSEO and the Sitemap tool was pretty easy, and did not take very long at all - just a few hours (that is because I know very little about SEO and had to do a lot of background reading to get up to speed).

Since I submitted the sitemaps and changed to the vbSEO urls yesterday, my crawler traffic has gone from zero to over 400 pages today and climbing... I am seeing a few of the new SEO urls in Yahoo already. That didn't take long!

I will update this over the coming days and weeks as far as results go...

Glad to see that you were able to get everything installed successfully, and the process of improvement has begun.

Just an update: It has been five days and Yahoo and google are now crawling my site. Yahoo is off to the early lead..

Each day, getting crawled more and more too...

Today marks the 1 month mark with vbseo installed on my forum.

The results are in and very good for Google. I went from just over 100 visits per day to just around 900 per day.

Referrals from google went from about 30 per day to over 700 per day.

Pages indexed in google went from zero to 8360.

Pages indexed in yahoo went from zero to 2174

The results from yahoo and MSN are not even notable. Traffic from yahoo has not increased at all, and I only have 1 page in MSN, but msn just started indexing my site yesterday. For all the time that slurp has spent on my site and all the bandwidth it burned, hardly any increase in traffic and not that many pages indexed.

Another month has passed (about a month and a half) with vbSEO doing its thing!

The results continue to impress me and I think they will impress you too. The numbers speak for themselves...

Google referrals continue their climb each week averaging about 600 more than the previous week. MSN just started sending traffic in the last week, but yahoo still lags behind...

Daily unique visitors is now averaging 1500-1800 and climbing. That is more than 4x what I would see per day before vbseo on my original site... I am quite happy! Registrations average about 10 new members per day.

The community is starting to really take off, and I am more excited about running my site than I have been in years.
