Advice Needed !

I run a vBulletin message board for fans of a Football Club.


I've been pulling my hair out for the last six months trying to get the "correct" traffic directed to my site from google searches.


Google likes me for the place name



However, most search for "place name + FC" or "place name + Football Club" ..... and I'm nowhere to be seen



I'm running vbseo, and have set the thread titles to show brentford-football-club- , keywords are "content="Brentford Football Club", and have the acronyms switched on to ensure thread titles are relevant to what I'm after.



I have links from good page ranked Brentford clubs sites .........



So any advice on how to get google to accept me as a "Football Club" site would be appreciated

Page Rank seems to have a lot to do with it. I would work on getting other sites to link to your board using the words "Brentford Football Club" in the link.
