adding Archive links in footer good or not?

Hi there
i'm adidng the Archive links in footer, i have about 120 links for Archive in footer
i think this is not good idea to add them to forum footer
and i really think google didn't give me higher PR last time coz of these links
but what do you think?
is it good idea to add Archive links in footer of forum?

Not 120. That is too many.

i suggest disabling the archive all together, and thus the links with it.

I agree with Brian.

However, forums with significant traffic should check to see what %-age of their traffic is going to the archive pages.

In cases, where this is significant, suddenly blocking them altogether could result in a loss of traffic.

For new forums, or forums not yet getting traffic to the archive pages, IMO I personally prefer disabling the archive completely as well.

i don't want to disable the archive, i just want to remove the archive links from my forum footer coz i have more than 130 links there!

I would like the # to be under 25, but this is not possible for some forums. In some cases you could consider copying the archive footer link code, cutting out links to less significantly forums, to reduce the #. Afterwards you could manually edit the template and disable the vBSEO feature.

If you are having trouble disabling the feature, please open a support ticket:

You could disable the archive fully as Brian and I suggested as a possibility above. If you did that, you could customize your template to link to your important sub-forum pages instead.
