    About to install VBSEO

    Hi Everyone,

i recently purchased VBSEO and after reading several of the posts here on this forum, i guess im as ready as im going to be to install it.

before i install VBSEO is there something i should be careful with when installing my goal is to not muck up my forum.
of course it goes without saying that i will back up before installing VBSEO, but are there other things i should be aware of that will save myself and my members a world of Grief?

    Thanks in advance

    Sid

READ the ReadMe all the way through before starting.
Make a complete back up before doing anything of both file system and database.

Check to see if your host has mod_rewrite enabled. You can do so by following this guide...

I'm new and having a problem with the htaccess file, which I have written a support ticket. But I don't understand what you mean by install the product located in the do not upload folder.

Just like any add-on from .org, there is a product.xml file located in the do not upload folder.

You must go to the ACP -> plugins/products and Add the product via the upload

be sure to open and read the read-me. all directions are there

OK, I see. Because of the trouble with my htaccess file I haven't gotten to the next step.

    Thanks
