Hey everyone I have been keeping an eye on the links "not found" in googles sitemap reports. A large chunk of these links all look like this:

yes I had phpbb 2.0.21 on there but its completely gone now. I believe these urls reference old phpbb thread links...but dontk now how to get rid of them
They will drop off eventually. Nothing to worry about.
You may be able to speed up the process of G dropping those links rather then throwing an error by adding.
to your robots.txt file after the User-agent: * entry.Code:Disallow: /viewforum.php
Humans will still get the 404 and redirect till they drop too, so that should put you in good graces all the way around.

This is a good idea -- I did the same thing noppid.
You may also want to add:
Disallow: /viewtopic.php
as I found most of my old links were of the viewtopic.php from phpBB 2.0.20 that I had running before vBulletin.
