vBSEO changed URLs have a 301 redirect, so any link value is passed to the new URLs.

Also, the "link:" search on Google will only return pages with a PR over a certain value. If the links you have pointing into your site are coming from pages with a low value, they will not show in the search results.

Therefore, given that vBSEO has nothing to do with inbound links (as it rewrites your INTERNAL links), this issue has nothing to do with vBSEO.

Google donot update link index that often. You shall check incoming links from google webmasters account. It gives you more accurate result.

to the OP, have you setup your google webmaster tools account? how many backlinks does it show

Check your back links in google with link:www.domain.com and also you can back links with Google Webmaster Tools.

Try to check your back links using this tool!.. The tool that you might be using might have some errors.
