    Link-Vault

Well I am attempting to move to link vault from Co-Op and let me tell you its been a bloody headache. Nothing pisses me off more than wasting my time which is exactly what this is doing.

The damn links are showing up right on the page yet it says failed everytime.

Even better is there is no one on their support forum...

*sigh*... just me ranting.... I know its free but its still being offered and it would be nice if it would... work..

There needs to be special script used for LV and vBSEO installs. Please see the plugin mentioned on:

    Link Vault and vBSEO

Basically, you need to allow the LV to see the rewritten url's whereas with the default setup, it can only see the showthread/forumdisplay url's.

    I used that plugin.

I will mess with it another day maybe. I am too tired right now and just put on the Co Op ads again.

    Thanks though

Alright this is really pathetic. I just tried to do it again and it won't active my damn links even though I see them on every page I linked to.

I am using the vbseo version plugin and the damn links show up and the url it gives is the right one before the text links.

So someone mind telling me why the hell I can not get this to work? Support on their forums is horridly to long.

    Specifically what is the issue?
    • How much vaultage have you got?
    • Are you trying to use that vaultage to get links in, and those links in are not being approved?
I am aware of a bottleneck somewhere that is not allowing inbound links to get to the "to be approved" screen. I know that there is at least one link in there, but I cant see that link to approve it, and there must be many in that queue.

    Is this the issue?

Are they still having problems or what??? I have been messing around trying to get mine to work for a long time. Both with and without the vbseo plugin. When I do the test I get the below failures. I used your plugin, and it's creating the links which I can go to and click on but it's coming up as failed.

This is what I get from the status page...

Anybody have something for me to try? I posted on the link-vault forum yesterday and I haven't heard a thing back.

I had the same problem when I was trying to instal link-vault on my vbseo forum.

Here is the problem if you can see the test links but the tests fail....

You most likely have the vBseo setting for adding rel="nofollow" to links going out of your site on. What this is doing is adding rel="nofollow" to your outgoing links which makes link-vault not be able to recognise them.

It took me hours to figure out that was the problem.
