    Link on every page important?

    I have started exchanging links with some sites. None of these sites have agreed to put my link on every page ( they don't do that with links ) but I still added theirs to every page since that's what I'm used to do.

    How useful are one-page links?

    One page links are fine, but you should be doing fair trades. If they don't give you site wide links, then you should just give them single page links as well.

    Exceptions could be made, such as when their site is a very high authority site, where a single page link could be so beneficial to you that it might be considered a fair trade.

    Use template conditionals to just give them one page links, or use the specific template (ie forumhome, forumdisplay, showthread)

    Code:
    <if condition="THIS_SCRIPT == index">
    link code here
    </if>
    You can substitute index out with any script name such as forumdisplay, and showthread to show the links only on those pages (useful if you just want to put links in one global template like the footer)

    IMO 1 good link is much better than sitewide links.

    Sitewide links get penalized and can have a negative SEO impact.

    See I don't think this is necessarily true (IMO as far as a publisher is concerned). There are 101 reasons why you could/would have sitewide links to external sites (not least if they are copyrights or links to other sites you own) and search engines know this.
    My point is that sitewide links are depreciative when it comes to SEO. A single good link is always better.

    So do you think I should have it in the sidebar or get some kind of link section mod for vBulletin?

    I personally (if I was to do it) would have a single/seperate links page. It would be a lot easier to manage... or offer a link back from another website you own (this would be better SEOwise).

    I would recommend not using Site-Wide links even in similar niche.

    So you recommend I buy vBAdvanced link product?

    I really like it, although it's basically a customized vBDynamics page. Very well customized though. I'm a bit annoyed about having to buy another copyright removal for it ( I already have vBDynamics ).

    Are you sure we can't?

    As far as I know, it is possible to transfer licenses at vBAdvanced by filling in a support ticket. Send me a PM if you're serious. It'd make me very happy .
