Smile Have a quality forum for a parent? Free...

If you have a quality forum for a mom or dad please submit your site to our momz.com directory for moms or dadz.com directory for dads.

Of course we'd appreciate a link back if you have an appropriate place on your site to do so, but it is not mandatory. We really do want to list your site if it's of particular value to a mom or dad.

epilepsy support groups

Hi Bernard

My older brother has had epilepsy since he was in high school. He and i shared a room back then and I can tell you that the entire family was totally freaked out when he started having seizures! We had no idea what it was or what to do about it. Many nights I woke and had to try to awake him for fear he would otherwise die.

It wasn't for a few months that they diagnosed it correctly...

It wasn't for MANY years before he was able to drive and that was only after radical brain surgery at UCLA.

I wish your forum was around back then (70's)... thanks for submitting your site and I hope some folks find it and benefit from it!

Cheers

David

It's more common than people think. I think a lot of cases of epilepsy that don't involve grand mal seizures (there are many types of seizures) go undiagnosed too.

My wife has epilepsy and the first time I witnessed her having a grand mal, it was surreal (but I somewhat knew what to expect because she had prepared me for it).
