Gaming News Submission Directory

Hi, I recently started a Digg style (Votes) Gaming News Submission Directory, mainly for the purpose of submitting articles from my pther sites and hopefully benefitting from the backlinks.. It's been running for around 6 weeks now and its not getting bad traffic, I think the Alexa rank is around 550k now.. Articles with enough votes (currently set low to encourage submissions) are automatically published on the front page, and there is no NOFOLLOW tag used on the front page, articles can also be manually published via admincp to the front page if need be..

I know that Search Engines have lots of rules about what you can and cannot do when it comes to link building, Is what i've done ok? or are there any down sides that may affect my other sites that anyone can see from me doing this? hopefully given time it will grow and become an established gaming news submission site in its own right..

Hi, That site is no longer up, I closed it as it attracted a lot of non gaming related spam as you can imagine and I was spending too much time sorting it out, The time I was spending removing that spam is better spent elsewhere..

It was a pligg based site, Pligg doesn't seem to have very good spam protection..
