Free PR2 directory

Don't be put off by the directory being dedicated to Spain
There are regional sections, plus I cant see how forums can be country specific

www.spaindirectory.biz

I'm working on other projects at present, but link approval should be fairly quick

Wow that was fast. I was about to read the email your directory sends out after submitting a link and boom "approved".

Thanks for the approval. I'm just on my way out of the house to run errands.

Your page rank is not at all connected with the actual rankings of your website. One should pay more importance to the actual high rankings of these directories rather than choosing directories on the basis of Page Rank.

If Google launches a new free directory, I am sure it will remain page rank 0 for atleast period of 3-4 months.

I get more links submitted to a directory with zero pr than my pr2 one. In the end I created a section called non shooting or gun related, bunged them all in there and people still keep submitting links.

I wonder if placing them all in a mixed bag will do them any harm.

Lets see, title of directory is Shoot More Directory with links to guns and all things that make big bangs, lets add a country related web site or airline link. Wonder if directory owner will approve us

I was making money off it the following day

I would disagree. I know a website which is only about 3 months old, but has a PR6, just from links it would seem.

A directory can get a high PR after a few month's since it's opening but the question is... can that directory hold that PR in the next update. Most likley it will not unless that owner keeps up getting quality backlinks to his directory. I like directories that enforce quality on all listing's. Some directory owner's create a lot of directories and approve all listings even if they are spammy sites. Once they get a PR they turn around and sell the directories for fast cash. I hate people who do that. Just gives web directories a bad rep.

Some folks buy domains with PR and put a directory up and promote it saying my directory is a PR5...etc. Well that's called a "drop domain" and in next update that directory will prolly be a PR1 or PR0.

Also, how do we know if that directory will get banned by google on the next update? Not many directories can get a high PR these day's and actually keep it for a long time.
