    Backlink for www.website.com or www.website.com/content for VB4

Had a question regarding backlinks for my sites. Now that I've upgraded all of my sites to VB4 with the CMS addition, does it matter if backlinks point to www.website.com or do they have to point to www.website.com/content to be of value.

    Thanks in advance.

They should point to the actual resource. /content and /root should NOT be the same page.
You should set up your CMS home as outlined:
vBSEO 3.5 Release Candidate 1 is here! - vBulletin SEO Forums

Done and thank you for the reference. I noticed that it's a must to add the trailing slash to your domain while following those directions. Does a trailing slash need to be added for backlinks? I know it's a dumb question, but I want to make sure I'm covering my bases.

Hey Brian, you mentioned that /content and /root should NOT be the same page, but after following your directions outlined here: vBSEO 3.5 Release Candidate 1 is here! My CMS is now in my root. Did I miss something? Thanks again for the help!

That is the point... to eliminate any redirect and just have the SINGLE resource at root.

The trailing slash is needed in the setting only. Linking to site.com or site.com/ will have the exact same effect.
