Zoints - Driving Traffic to Your Forum with Social Networking Integration?

This is a discussion on Zoints - Driving Traffic to Your Forum with Social Networking Integration? within the General Discussion forums, part of the vBulletin SEO Discussion category; Seems like they've closed the door to new communities for Zoints. I wonder why? Seems strange....

I think they have closed/opened in the past, to control it from growing too quickly.

There's rumors of a new version that re-does the whole thing coming out soon....

Maybe i will try the tag's soon, but i try to keep my vbulletin rather standard.

But i do find Zoint's a good incentive, they make what is demanded by the mass.

Why would anyone do this? There's a great hack on vbulletin.org to rewrite your own member profiles, even make a whole subdomain for it looking like myspace.

just look what bodybuilding.com did with that hack and a little work:

    Bodybuilding.com - BodySpace Main Page
    Bodybuilding.com - dissolved girl's BodySpace

I would like to do something similar, just need to find out how it's done exactly.

I have visionscript interactive profile installed and it is pretty good. i am planning to integrate vblogetin to member profiles also. Here is an example
Ayyas - Üye Profili: Lizard King
    Ayyas - L.K.Gen.Tr

when the integration finish it will be really good.

The no.1 reason I didn't like Zoints was the way they control your forum. I like to keep my community independent

Plus you can do much of the profile reworking yourself wit a little work. Check out my profile: Music-Web Forums - View Profile: MaestroX

its not amazing but its a step up from the standard vbulletin profiles
