The googlebots are so fast..
All of my latest threads are already indexed.... some within 30 mins of being posted......
I know my old URLs have changed..... Do the bots index backward? Ie... Latest content first?

I'm not sure but since the archive shows old topics first it could be those are indexed first. Are you using the vbSEO Sitemap Generator?
The search engines may likely be biased towards newer content for indexing, but biased towards older content for higher ranking.
You are experiencing the effects of our update services + sitemap for fast indexing. Luckily, vBSEO has helped you achieve full link consensus so the SE bots don't have to spend anytime downloading garbage data. The result is that you are seeing your pages set indexed as rapidly as you do.![]()
Thanks Joe for explaining. You mention there that they are biased toward older content for higher ranking. Does that mean that with the change in all my URLS to friendly that they will see all the content as new and then my ranking will drop overall?
With my site being reindexed due to VBSeo...... can there be any negative effect on my current ranking?

No. The purpose of 301 redirects is to proclaim "equivalence" or "be passed the torch" in Olympic termsThis means one document takes the place of another. However, the original existence of the previous document still maintains historical significance. This is much different than simply creating a new document on the same topic. Also - domain age is a weighted factor as well. How old is the site itself, and how long has it been populated with content.
Granted - we can never fully determine precise search engine ranking algorithms. However, this is how a 301 likely is applied in terms of ranking.
