Would Removing the Forum Title Really Help?

Hi,

I have read quite a lot on vbseo forum that removing the forum title from thread pages helps in improving 'Long Tail' SEO. If that's really the case, I would love to do so, but right now, I am very uncertain. I have an Automotive community which is on its developing stages.

For Example, Say currently someone searches in Google "Affordable Mercedes in India", So it'd show my website as result, highlighting the term "India" (which is a part of my forum title). Now, removing the name will mean indirectly removing the term "India", so would that anyway effect on my SEO? Ofcourse, my website's URL includes the term in question but similar thing goes with other searches too, just in case. Does Google equally considers the terms in URLs as much as in titles?

The url is not very important anymore. The actual page content is what matters most, including the title.

If you're targeting just India, you should set up your geo target in google webmaster tools to that area, and then you can remove it from your title safely.
