Would changing the charset affect ranking/seo?

Hi Guys,

I run a English speaking forum concerning Spain and some of the news feeds need the correct charset to display the chars.

Would changing the charset to enable Spanish chars affect seo or my rankings in any way for the better or worse?

Would I need to change it in both vB and vBSEO?

I am not sure how that would affect your SEO, but yes, you will need to adjust settings in both the vB and vBSEO control panel.
