Why is google ignoring CMS Articles

I had a feeling for a while google wasn't holding much toward the CMS section of a VB site and it seems I was right. For example...

Whos up /content of my page because it's reading the text but surely it should be the actual post that shows in the result...

Anyone else found a way to get google to index their articles ok? I am including them in the sitemap and have quite a few to choose from but for some reason the front page of the CMS seems to hold weight over the actual article

Your article pages load so slow. It still is going to load for me after 30-40 seconds. Keep in mind speed is so important and you need to get your pages loaded fast

Additionally keeping all those urls in your footer will get your site punished by Google. You should remove all those links from your footer.

I will strictly agree with Mert, you have added too many site-wide external links, this should definetly be one important reason for google not indexing your CMS content.
I would have added CMS to site-root and not /content/ folder.

Can you tell what is slowing it down, the slowest thing that seems to load is the recent images widget and the Tweetboard which came as part of VBSEO?

I can remove a few links that are slightly outdated but I still want the ability to link to other sites, is there a limit of sites you can link to? I thought if they were relevant sites interlinking between network sites would be deemed acceptable?

Agreed with the speed issue.... it's REAL slow. And it's way too heavy.

2.2MB! you need to reduce image sizes and try to minimize your page size. 200k is pushing it for a homepage.

Not quite sure I understand, my home page is forum, the cms you have to click to get to and is set as content/

Is the CMS page loading any faster for you now?

It is faster then before but if you continue keeping all those external urls in your footer , your site will never get indexed good. Google penalize paid links and drop sites who keep footer paid links.
