where are the spiders?

I keep losing page rank and the only spider coming around is yahoo and it is not indexing my pages. I submitted to google awhile back and did an analytics it showed up to check and never went past the index. Why isnt my site being indexed?

I only see a pr of 1 on your main page ??

If it were me,I would add the archive links to the footer, and start building backlinks to the forum.

You have a pretty small forum, I wouldn't expect a ton of spiders to visit..

also use the sitemap and it will submit to google and yahoo once every day

I am really lost at all this stuff, doest vbseo in my task mgr do it automaticly submit it? if I have to manual subit where do i do that? How do I get back links? I know how to add things to my footer on the main page but what do I add there and what is the code? http:// what? I would be willing to pay someone to do all this for me so this can get off and running to a good start.

I can go over your forum and optimize everything for a small fee.. if your interested, just shoot me a pm.

to sorta answer your question..

vbseo, doesn't submit anything.. it can "ping" but thats another topic alltogether.

vbseo yahoo/google sitemap Will however submit your sitemap once a day with the default settings

let us know if you have any more questions

Ok, this is the first time I have seen this happen.

I see you have the vbseo sitemap installed. First of all, it needs to be updated to the latest (version 1.7 available here at vbseo). Second, why isn't it password protected?

yup, he didn't have the password setup, but in one of the PM I let him know where to add it in vboptions

btw, a good way to get spiders on your site is to add a link in your sig to your forums, maybe a few of the popular forum sections.. like that one that had 800 threads in it. That section is probably always getting updated with fresh content. SPiders love that

I didn't look at the post to see if its quality stuff,, if it isn't then point the link to an article section or something with great info.
