What do you think about Social Bookmark and Digg sites?
Hi,

I've been submitting my threads to every Social Bookmark Service and Digg clones I know.

Whenever a thread is created and the topic as value, I start my home work

Is this a good way to get backlinks (some are dofollow) and traffic or google doesn't give any value to this type of site?

I think they are pretty useless.

Unless your site is about technology or some other 'news', and you're first to post a thread about it, it's a waste of time.

But doesn't this give us at least some back links?
I submit my new threads to some digg clones in my language and choose a category related to my niche.

Still this a useful job?

While it is a back link, it's not necessarily a 'quality' one.


I'd rather have one link from dell.com to my imaginary computer forum than 100 links from digg/etc.

My niche is traveling but the language is Portuguese.
Does Google gives any value to links from English language to a Portuguese site?
