Very big traffic decrease

I have encountered a very strange traffic decrease (61% from May to June) were seasonality should be a decrease no more than 15%!

I have back then VB 384PL1 and VBSEO 332
A week ago I have upgraded to VB 385 and last VBSEO.

I have not changed any setting on the forum and vbseo and users behaviour did not change.

I have also notice in webmaster tools beside very few errors the attached graphics of Pages crawled per day and Kb downloaded / day


Anny ideas where too look for this drop as is not normal?

I mention I have switch to VBSEO in Dec 2009 and from then (when traffic dropped ALOT but expected) then I had steady increase to best ever May 2010.

You can see the graphic of monthly unique visitors here (sorry is Romanian but each line is a month).

I have notice also that google searches for terms where I was usually on first page (v specific terms) I was not present at all in first 5 pages.
Adding forum name to search showed me the specific term thread (so is indexed).


Site has dedicated IP.

Sitemap VBSEO is working apparently good.

I have also notice that I have words from vbulletin as highest density word because google is crowing what an user see.
Should I activate archive and point google to index the archive? What is advisable?

Have you checked the urls indexed on Google? Are decrease also that?

Fun is I have another 3 sites in same setup so I look for a long day upgrading and troubleshooting ... Rest of the sites are much less traffic.

Honestly I think the answer may be very simple and looks very obvious from here. The web site you linked takes forever (and I mean forever) to even begin loading.

I used FF page load add-on and it took well over 30 seconds before the page was loaded.

I would suggest you find why your site is loading so slow and get that fixed, google does not like slow loading sites and now uses page load speed as a ranking factor.
